So who am I and what is Blog Briefing?
Essentially I’m a professional Blogger and want to help you become one too! It’s not as hard as you may think.

In a nutshell Blog Briefing is aimed at the total internet novice wanting a shot at claiming his or her corner of the big WWW!
In my opinion, based on 6 years working online full-time (and the last 2 funded entirely by my blogging endeavors) your best bet at making anything online: money, fame or a reputation – will best be served by your knowing how to create and maintain a self-hosted Wordpress blog. That’s it!
Knowing how to do that ONE THING opens lots of doors and turns you from somebody dabbling in internet ideas – hopping from this week’s latest ‘best’ thing to the next – into a serious player who can have a real effect on the Web…
When you know how to Wordpress professionally you have a ticket to extra income no matter where your Internet Marketing ambitions may take you.
My goal here at Blog Briefing is to help you to create your first blog! I have included, and will continue to add, loads of instructional videos so you can learn at your own pace and gradually increase your skill-set.
Sometimes, along the way, I might promote a site or some piece of software that you might wish to purchase and if you do so I’ll probably make a few bucks commission. So that’s the, “What’s in it for you?” question answered ;-) but no purchases are required, or even expected.
Now you’ve a blog ‘under your belt’ there’ll be no stopping you!
Let’s look at the training aspect of the site. Don’t understand something? That’s OK! Under every video tutorial you can ask questions (by the way there’s no such thing as a stupid question on this site!) in the ‘Comments’ part of the page and you can do that via Audio or WebCam video too ( how cool is THAT!)
This is the kind of amazing stuff I want YOU to have on your blog and I’ll show you how to do that via this site!
There is however a monthly membership fee to join the Forums - I have teamed up with Mark Thompson and his brilliant ‘members only’ forum over at Wordpress Goldmine – probably the net’s best kept secret when it comes to earning money with blogs.
But ignore that for now – once you’re happy with your blog, set up with the Blog Briefing tutorials and tips, and you’re ready to start earning from it, then I suggest you give the Forums a try.
My task, as I see it, is to teach a savvy group of people, of all ages and from any background, how to create a superior blog, optimize it for Google and the other Search Engines. If you lack the inspiration to join me here on BlogBriefing.com here’s a fact:
I created my first professional Wordpress blog 20 months ago when I was 52!
Will it take a little application on your part to do the same? A bit of work maybe? Damn right!
It’s a learning curve for sure, but one that’s easier to navigate when you have a mentor or friend to help you through and answer your questions along the way.
In the beginning…
The thing is: I recommend to my new clients that they use the Wordpress blog they’ve paid me to build for them to heavily promote themselves and their offline businesses. Actually INSIST is a better word!
Naturally this is something new for them to take on board ( as it may be for you) and so they needed, and need, help on the initial learning curve. You see, I insisted that they take charge of their own sites, once I’d set everything up for them. I found the easiest way to help them do that was to create video tutorials for their specific issues as, let’s face it, video is the best way to train somebody online
But no sooner had I answered one question there was another, and another. You see they were getting better and better at blogging but the learning curve, while shallow, is basically never ending ( well I’m still learning I can assure you).
Thing is that this quickly became really labor intensive for me so I thought I’d create a simple site which I could refer my clients to and then, light bulb moment, open it up to others, i.e. YOU!
