Get Your Blog Images Resized Online

I love Photoshop and the Open Source (i.e. free) equivalent Gimp but some bloggers just want a quick way to cut and crop a photo so it sits nicely within their site’s posts and pages.

Well go and try this site: CutMyPic.com. While it won’t let you turn one large image into a small one you can crop a section out of a larger image, add curved edges and some drop ‘shadow’ then save to your computer. Pretty cool for image editing on the fly….

Also, re the resizing issue, you could go get the ‘Get The Image’ plugin for WordPress that, once you upload an image into your Media Library via your site’s Dashboard, the plugin will resize it to various sizes ( including original size) working within the dimensions you’ve set in Settings > Media page of your admin area ( see below). Very useful for ‘thumbnails’ and when you want to use an image multiple times but in different sizes….
