In this video I explain everything a beginner needs to understand about how ClickBank works. Info products pay the top commissions! 50-75% thank you very much!
This tutorial shows you how to research products on Clickbank, then link to it from your site so that you get credited with the nifty sales commission. Hurrah!
Promoting Clickbank products accounts for about 25% of my online income.
This rambling video just covers the basics to get you started so I’ll be creating an ‘Advanced ClickBank Tutorial’ soon.
Relevant links for these tutorials:
- Paydotcom.com – A Clickbank alternative but more Internet Marketing products related.
- E-Junkie – More related to marketing and blog building and I use them.
Glossary of terms used in these tutorials:
- Hoplink – a text link, generated by Clickbank, that includes your user name so that you are credited when somebody buys a product after clicking on your link.
- Hop Ad – ( See example below) Clickbank also offer another way to promote products that might be relevant to your site. Ads can come in various sizes and colors to fit neatly into your posts or sidebar.
I include an example below of a Hop Ad which is an option in your Clickbank account but NB the ad block below this is for illustrative purposes only and I DON’T NECESSARILY ENDORSE THE PRODUCTS LISTED IN THE ADS (as I have limited control over what those ads are, other than my entering some keywords to direct, broadly, what type of ads will appear).
To use the HopAd Builder, first you’ll need a ClickBank account. Once you’re logged into your account, go to Account Settings->HopAd Builder. (It’s tricky to find!)
Yep they look better than Adsense ads don’t they? Depending on your niche market and how many relevant products are in the Clickbank warehouse related to you you might find this form of monetization beats the heck out of Adsense! You can reduce the number of ads that appear if the product count is low. Experiment! Seems there are lots re blogging though…..
However I have to say that I would only use this type of Ad for a ‘quick set up’ type blog that was there purely to earn some cash. I wouldn’t include in my ‘serious’ blogs as I like to have complete control over what I promote – no doubt some of the products featured in my test sample HopAd below are worthless :-(
. As I think I showed in the video, Clickbank’s search tool does not always work too well, especially when you’re trying to do some serious research when deciding what to promote ( which you MUST!). I use a free online site over at CB Engine.com
which makes it much easier to check out stats, popularity over time and much more. Plus shows new products in the Clickbank marketplace. Very useful!
